LEAGUE CITY — Seven Houston-area men have been indicted on first-degree felony charges after investigators linked them to a series of organized retail thefts targeting Best Buy stores across Texas, according to the League City Police Department.

The investigation began in July 2025 when officers with the department’s Business District Unit responded to a theft at Best Buy in League City. Police said a suspect entered the store, removed several display cameras and fled in a waiting vehicle.

The following day, Pasadena police stopped the suspected getaway vehicle and identified one of the alleged participants as 19-year-old Kobre Dickerson.

As investigators worked with Best Buy’s organized retail crime team, they discovered the theft was allegedly connected to more than 20 similar incidents at stores in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Austin. Authorities estimate the total loss exceeded $260,000.

Over the following months, League City investigators partnered with the Texas Department of Public Safety, New Braunfels Police Department and Houston ISD Police Department to identify six additional suspects.

Those identified were Jaron Pinson, 20; Raynord Norman, 20; Damarion Hawkins, 20; Jewrell Pinson, 23; Jacorris Parrish, 19; and Christopher Gordon, 18.

The case was presented to a Galveston County grand jury, which returned indictments against all seven suspects on charges of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, a first-degree felony. Bond was set at $100,000 for each defendant.

League City police said all seven suspects have since been taken into custody with assistance from multiple law enforcement agencies.
