GALVESTON — Actress, author and philanthropist Jane Seymour has been announced as the keynote speaker for the 19th Annual Galveston Women’s Conference.

The event is scheduled for Sept. 11 at the Moody Gardens Convention Center and is hosted by the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Seymour, an Emmy and Golden Globe winner, is known for her work in film, television and theater. Her career includes starring roles in the television series “Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman” and films such as “Somewhere in Time” and “Live and Let Die.” She also served as an executive producer for the documentary “Glen Campbell… I’ll Be Me,” which followed the country music star’s farewell tour after his Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis.

In addition to her entertainment career, Seymour is recognized for her philanthropic work and entrepreneurial ventures, including the launch of her “Open Hearts” jewelry collection.

Chamber officials said Seymour’s personal and professional journey aligns with the mission of the conference, which focuses on empowering women through personal growth, leadership and connection.

The Galveston Women’s Conference is a one-day event featuring speakers, breakout sessions, wellness activities and networking opportunities. Organizers say the conference is designed for women from a variety of professional and personal backgrounds, including business owners, executives, caregivers and community leaders.
