Christmas in July Sparks Donations for The Ronald McDonald House

GALVESTON- On Saturday Ronald McDonald House and The Galveston County Citizen Sheriff’s Academy Alumni Association held a Christmas in July donation drive.

There were two drop-off locations in front of McCoy’s Lumber in League City, and one in Galveston.

The goal was to get items families need to get by. They requested items such as- diapers, cleaning supplies, food, and even items typical to Christmas like toys.

They made it festive with a polar express themed car that transported the goods to the Ronald McDonald House in Galveston.

This Christmas theming was not just fun, but to help spark interest in donating year-round.

The event wrapped up at both locations at 3:00 PM, however if you missed the donation window for Christmas in July, you can still be a family’s Santa Claus’ by proving a donation to the Ronald McDonald house at anytime of the year. Which the house states they need more than ever, with them meeting full capacity.
